To touch up chips on furniture, use a wax crayon (for minor damage) or a touch-up marker matched to the surface color. Fill deeper chips with wood filler, then sand and varnish or paint to match after drying. For laminated furniture, use a special paste or acrylic sealant. After finishing, polish the area with a soft cloth.
To extend a window sill without replacing it, use a chipboard, MDF, or engineered stone overlay, cut to size, and secure it to the existing surface with adhesive (such as liquid nails) and screws. Carefully seal the edges with sealant or decorative trim. Alternatively, install a countertop over the window sill if the structure is strong enough. It's important to level the base and ensure secure fastening.
To replace a socket, you'll need: a new socket (matching the type and design), a voltage test screwdriver (for checking voltage), flat-head and Phillips-head screwdrivers, wire cutters or pliers, electrical tape, and a wall box (if the old one is damaged). Don't forget to turn off the power at the panel before starting work! If the wires are short, terminal blocks or connection caps may be useful. Work carefully and observe safety precautions.
